Serving the Parish of
Colyton since 1546

Colyton Chamber of Feoffees was founded in 1546 to do “Good, Godly and commendable deeds’ for the community and Parish of Colyton.
The Colyton Chamber of Feoffees established Colyton Grammar School during the 16th century. Later, the Chamber of Feoffees was responsible for channelling fresh water into the town and for creating the original Colyton fire service. Today the charity works closely with and supports the Parish Council. The Feoffees chief responsibilities, in addition to maintaining their property estate, are the awarding and administration of donations and loans to individuals and organisations in the local community and hiring out the Town Hall and St John Hall.
